1/24/11

The Ashley Gang played at the world famous Yalaha Bakery on Saturday.  This gig is an afternoon event, and usually draws quite a lunch crowd to this off the beaten path destination.  The morning was cloudy as we headed from Sebastian to the booming metropolis of Yalaha,   But as if by some divine intervention the sky cleared and the sun came out in full force just as we arrived to set up.  The not so divine part was that a cold north wind settled in also, and the temperature seemed to drop a little more with every set we played.  By the time we wrapped things up at two o'clock we looked like six folk popsicles.  In spite of the weather issues, the place was a bee hive of activity.  I would say that this country is in the throes of a serious bread addiction epidemic.  If you've never made the trip to the Bakery your missing out on some serious gourmet bread and pastries.
